Jumping on the bandwagon? Yes, indeed.
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
3, almost 4 years. With an account, at least. I discovered DeviantArt when I was around 10 and would browse through the art nearly all the time, I was super fascinated by this site and peoples' fan art, mainly. (Especially the Naruto fan art, I was such a Narutard back then). XD
I then finally gathered the courage to make this account a few years ago.
2. What does your username mean?
Oho, this one's guaranteed to embarrass me, but I was a HUGE fan of Near from Death Note... With his real name being "Nate River", I decided I wanted something with his name, but it didn't sound right, so I ended up using the romanization of it from the Japanese, "Neito Riba" . The 's' in "Riba" to make it possessive and "girl" for you know exactly why... >///<
Geez, I was such a loser... I actually want to change my username because of that. (I'm still as huge of a fan of Near as I was back then, though, don't get me wrong).
3. Describe yourself in three words.
Loser/lame (I self-deprecate a lot, sorry), pensive, and maybe twisted? I don't know, that combination of words may make me sound a little off, but I can't find better words to describe myself. Let's just say I'm very out-of-sync with the world around me.
4. Are you left or right handed?
I'm semi-ambidextrous, as I can write with both hands and stuff like that, but don't ask me to draw with my left, can't do that too well.
5. What was your first deviation?
If I remember correctly, it was a headshot drawing of Italy from Hetalia.
6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
Traditional, can't do much else really. I like to write too, but I've never really shared that on here.
7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Digital... Boring answer, I know. I would like to try my hand at it though. I might still just stick with traditional as my main thing despite that.
8. What was your first favourite?
I think it might have been some kind of Hetalia wallpaper/collage.
9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Anime/cartoon art of any kind.
10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
I really couldn't say. I like plenty of artists on here, and I'd also feel pretty bad picking just one.
11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
There might be a few... I mean, I can think of one person at least, but it's a little embarrassing to say who, as I don't think they even know I have that sentiment. They just really look like someone interesting that I feel I'd probably get along with really well. I'm so shy, though I've been speaking with them often, lately. It's just so weird, 'cause I like talking to them, but it's never anything "important" that we talk about, they're just casual things, but I like it... I just comment on some of their stuff sometimes. I can know a person pretty well through the subtlest of things, at least the meaningful things though. I think she'd just be a cool friend based on that... I don't know. >\\\>
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Many have by encouraging me to keep trying and not give up. Any person who compliments my art, enjoys it, etc. is enough to make an impact on me. So, I thank everyone who does, as I can't put it too well in words how much I appreciate it. (Gah, I'm feeling so meek today). ;w;
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
Mechanical pencils, those cheap hotel pens/company pens people give away for free (I use them for inking...) I don't have money for real tools, apparently. To color, either colored pencils or crayola markers.
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Um... My room as I listen to music or during a car ride while I look out the window to daydream, really anywhere else where I can daydream and listen to music.
15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Any memory where anyone has supported me or been kind to me on here. I can't think of a specific one, though, maybe one time I won third place in a little art contest hosted by one of the people I watch. That was a proud moment for me at least.
